Account support Executive
Valassis Ltd is the UK’s largest coupon and voucher services provider performing crucial data management and financial clearing services for the likes of Sainsbury’s, Procter & Gamble, and Associated Newspapers. Responsible for handling most of the UK’s coupons and vouchers, Valassis Ltd is uniquely positioned to deliver insights on UK consumer promotions and is regularly quoted as an expert in the media.
The Account Support Executive provides support to all elements of the commercial operation at Valassis not limited to, but including:
Client support: including providing a first class service to our clients, adhering to all associated processes and meeting SLAs.
Sales support: providing vital administrative support services to the sales team to enable them to focus on larger opportunities. Supporting the sales function by dealing with leads, quoting and closing smaller scale opportunities as directed by the sales team.
Marketing support: supporting Client Services Director as required; including telemarketing for campaigns and events
Client Knowledge – ensure good understanding of client business and our service agreement with assigned clients
Client relationship development - build a good working relationship with assigned clients and manage day to day issues in line with SLA’s.
Service Level Agreements (SLAs) – monitor SLAs in order to ensure exemplary service is maintained for assigned clients.
Reports - provide accurate and timely delivery of reporting to allocated clients.
Provide proactive support to the Sales team including; appointment setting, contact reports, query handling and other administrative support as required.
Knowledgeable and effective new sales query handling, escalating to sales team if required
Quoting and closing smaller scale sales for Print@Home and Design & Print jobs
Proactive seeking out of new sales leads from research and other data sources from the business
Telesales to research sales opportunities and qualify sales leads, quoting and closing where appropriate
New client set up and on-boarding
Organising events/seminars to agreed timescale
Telemarketing follow-up of email campaigns
Collating data and reports, in particular evidencing success of each marketing activity such as number of attendees at events, pipeline developed as result of event
Supporting the Business Development team with documentation for client meetings
Product and services knowledge – maintain good understanding of Valassis products, services and processes.
Phone cover – ensure phones on Commercial floor are answered within three rings
Service backup - provide ad hoc cover for Operations and for colleagues during holiday and sickness.
Client feedback – obtain feedback, action and record outcomes on SalesForce
At least 2 years’ experience of working in a busy office environment, dealing with client related issues.
GCSE educated with English and Maths Grade B or above or equivalent
First class verbal and written communication skills, to include ability to create formal business letters/emails and take part in client meetings i.e. presentations
Confident telephone skills and commercially aware
Good time management and organizational skills
Confident and enthusiastic with a can do attitude
Good relationship builder (internally and externally)
Responsible, punctual, good attention to detail
Very comfortable with technology – particularly Excel & Microsoft Office
