Site Maintenance / Handy Man

Overtime paid, plus pension
20 - 30 / per week - Part-Time

The Role

This role is ideal for someone who is looking for a part time role and who is capable of working off their own initiative and turn their hand to anything. Reporting to the Directors you will be integral to the maintenance of the site, as well as supporting the production with occasional deliveries/collections, working alongside Operations, Health & Safety, Third party contractors, Management service providers and Visitors.

Here's what you can expect to be doing as our Site Maintenance / Handy Man:

You will be a point of contact for any facilities issues and queries, continually making sure that scheduled maintenance is carried out effectively and efficiently and reacting to day to day maintenance/machine issues to be able to support the continued operation of the business whilst meeting H&S requirements and all building related legislation.  You will liaise with internal parties with the occasional contact with our external contractors, building strong relationships and working proactively to address potential obstacles;

  • Ensure continuity of services/amenities
  • Carry out statutory inspections and complete relevant paperwork
  • Ensure continuous improvement to all company facilities
  • Ensure decoration of site is completed in line with requirements and upkeep is ongoing
  • Ensure repairs are carried out promptly
  • Upkeep of building equipment in maintenance to ensure longevity of the kit
  • Handle general repairs/maintenance queries
  • Basic building/assembly/DIY roles as and when required

A few things about you:

You should have a proven track record of supporting a manufacturing facility in terms of business continuity from a site and machine perspective. Preventative maintenance/schedules services/breakdowns and general handyman services including forklift duties and driving company vehicles for pickup/collections of products/spares.

We have an onsite Gym and Canteen, and the facility we work from is only 2 years old and very well maintained. We grow year on year so there is always plenty to do and get stuck into, as well as meeting lots of new and friendly faces as the company continues to expand its team.
