Location

The position requires travel to outreach locations in Mansfield, Newark and Nottingham, with a base in Nottingham City Centre, NG1

 

Hours of Work

23 hours per week (worked over 3 days), worked as follows:

  • Monday - 9.00 am to 5.00 pm         
  • Tuesday - 11.00 am to 7.30 pm       
  • Wednesday - 9.00 am to 5.00 pm         

 

Introduction

Employed by Notts SVS Services, this is an exciting opportunity to provide short term, focussed counselling therapy interventions to survivors of sexual violence, aged 18+, as referred by Insight Healthcare

 

Job Purpose

To provide face to face counselling and participate in the provision of the counselling service

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide short term focused counselling therapy interventions (6-8 sessions) to survivors of sexual violence aged 18+ as referred by Insight Healthcare;
  • Ensure timely processing of all incoming referrals from Insight Healthcare in order to meet key performance indicators with regard to waiting times for 1st counselling appointment
  • To be responsible for the day to day running of the IAPT counselling service and to liaise with Insight Healthcare and Notts SVSS management in this regard
  • To be responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of the IAPT counselling service, including accurate data entry onto database systems
  • Conduct risk and needs assessments and formulate risk management plans using Notts SVSS’s Risk Management Policies & Procedures

 

Essential Experience, Qualifications and Skills

  • Degree in counselling (Humanistic/Integrative), with extensive post-qualification experience
  • BACP or UKCP Accreditation
  • Experience of working for IAPT
  • An awareness and understanding of sexual violence and its impact
  • Experience of working with trauma and PTSD, depression and anxiety
  • Experience of dealing with difficult situations and working autonomously and using own initiative
  • Able to produce statistical, monitoring and evaluation information and accurately input into a database system

Applicants will be required to work and travel across Nottinghamshire.

Successful applicants will be subject to DBS vetting
