We are a family of 4, Mum, Dad, Son and Daughter living on a working farm in the Machynlleth area. Our 9-year-old, fun loving daughter has some unique and complex health issues and as such we are looking for two responsible and kind carers who will work together, to support our daughter in building her independence and daily living skills, and engage in the activities she loves.
Our daughter is a sociable, kind, outgoing, girly girl with a great sense of humour and a passion for animals and the outdoors.
She loves meeting people, chatting and for people to listen to her, going shopping, dressing up, doing her hair, nails and make up. A bubbly character who loves music, dancing, playing piano and going on her bike.
She has a cat, a pony, a puppy and a black sheep. She enjoys showing her sheep in local agricultural shows, she also goes to a riding school for the disabled and sports for the disabled.
We are Welsh 1st language speaking family.
Our daughter has complex uncontrolled epilepsy. She has left sided weakness with limited use of her left arm, hand and fingers. Her left leg is affected and her mobility is impaired. She uses a splint on her leg to aid with walking. Owing to her impaired mobility she does have poor balance and is sometimes susceptible to falling.
She uses a wheelchair or her 3 wheeler all terrain buggy on bad days and for longer distances.
