Buying Support Administrator

£20-£22K per annum

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Buying Support Administrator to join the team at D&D Corporation in Farnham Common, SL2 3RG.  In return, we offer a competitive salary of £20K - £22K dependent on abilities plus 20 days holiday excluding bank holidays, pension contribution, onsite parking and staff discounts on stock.  This position is offered on a full time, permanent basis with hours of work being Monday – Friday, 8:45- 17:30.

D&D Corporation supplies branded fast-moving commodities including soft drinks, confectionery, frozen food and household items to major supermarkets and retail chains in the UK. We buy products from the UK and within Europe.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a dynamic personality to manage our buying support function. You must be confident to deal in a mature fashion with existing supplier base and ability to make quick decisions and prioritise business offers and seek to increase profitability.

The responsibilities of the Buying Support Administrator will include but are not limited to:

  • Understanding the D&D product portfolio
  • Enquiring about and collating product offers on a daily basis from Buying function and its key suppliers
  • Preparing product offers in right format and in a user-friendly manner
  • Calculating a selling price by accounting for distribution cost & target profit
  • Understanding the customer base for specific product offers to be sent
  • Tracking influx of all offers coming from suppliers
  • Understanding the strengths of each suppliers and their product portfolio
  • Accurate completion of paperwork and spreadsheets for the sales and profits
  • Meeting weekly Key Performance indicators

Key candidate requirements:

  • Good with numbers and ability to work with figures
  • Experience in suppliers or customer liaison
  • Good communicator with an excellent phone manner and abundance of confidence
  • Positive mental attitude, entrepreneurial style and willing to learn and grow
  • Excellent prioritisation, planning and organisational skills
  • Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010 package Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Friendly, Assertive, flexible with diplomatic skills
  • Graduate level with degree in business studies, Sales or Marketing
  • Some office experience is desirable.
