An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Production Team Leader to join Jupiter Group based in Newport Shropshire. In return, we offer a competitive pay rate of £8.71 per hour plus 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, auto enrol pension scheme and childcare vouchers.

Jupiter Marketing Group provides fresh produce for suppliers, customers and employees globally. The successful candidate will conduct daily production, meeting target yields and costs. They will manage line/production operatives in line with group guidelines and values. This is a cross functional role working in generally one area from; raw materials, prep, assembly, labelling and dispatch. The Team Leader will drive continuous improvement in efficiency yield, assembly and costs. The accurate completion (or monitoring of completion) of worksheets for all jobs with 100% accuracy is a primary responsibility. The role reports to the Production Supervisor, clear communication is necessary along with excellent issue management. The role includes the monitoring and maintenance of staff and factory hygiene and cleaning standards, whilst acting as a good role model in all areas/procedures. The role will involve:

  • Manage daily production, complete prep requirements/orders in full, on time and to correct quality standards, ensuring products/pallets are made up correctly and ready prior to their dispatch time. Label pallets as required.
  • Attend any production meetings if required, action issues arising from meeting in a timely manner
  • Complete any project work outside of the daily responsibilities as directed by the supervisor or Production Manager
  • Maintain presence in factory at all times, take breaks with team to drive efficiencies, ensure Team Leader cover is in place when breaks are taken when production is on going
  • Monitor performance, recommend changes to drive continual improvement
  • Operational cover when required at weekends/out of hours
  • Ensure staff utilise correctly at all times and behave appropriately
  • Support the supervisor and cover as required.

The successful Production Team Leader will be:

The hours of work are based on a minimum 30-hour contract. Applicants must be flexible to cover weekends and bank holidays when required.

Shifts: 6am-3pm - 5 days per week, 3pm-12am - 5 days per week, 6am-7pm - 4 days per week
