Care Assistant (Nights)

£8.53 per hour

Milford

We’re Milford House, a thriving care home in the heart of Milford. We have an excellent local reputation and were rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission. Our main priority for this job role is to find people that want to make a difference in other people’s lives. As a night carer you will be working in a small team, and therefore previous experience in a caring role is essential.

We’re seeking to recruit some great new night carers to support our residents throughout the night. As a residential and nursing home, we provide a range of care and support services for our older residents, some of whom have dementia.

Your duties will be varied, and no two nights will be the same. Our residents are individuals and they all deserve to be treated as such; however, as a general guide, your duties will include working as a team to respond to call bells, assisting residents with personal care, repositioning and their nutritional requirements, and offering comfort and companionship. Above all, we want someone who shares in our values:

  • Commitment to quality and being the best we can
  • Treating the people we support with compassion and respect
  • Respecting the dignity of the people we support
  • Working as a team and looking out for each other
  • Keeping our promises and being dependable

Shift patterns will vary and will include weekends and bank holidays, but we can be flexible and help adjust the role to fit around your life situation.
