Senior Operations Manager

£40K Per Annum
45 / per week - Full-Time

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Operations Manager to join our team based in Cowley, Oxfordshire. In return, we offer a competitive starting salary.

The Senior Operations Manager will be responsible for providing our customers with the highest quality of service, and the most cost-effective logistics solutions available is our mission.

The Senior Operations Manager’s responsibilities include:

  • Overall responsibility for the service provided to the customer.
  • Ensuring Operations are effectively managed.
  • Achieving contract targets and continual improvement in KPI performance.
  • Have a pro-active approach to on-going cost and service performance improvement.
  • Implementing and monitoring contract budgets and ensuring timely corrective action is taken.
  • Managing staff members to ensure that they have the motivation, attitude, skills and knowledge to contribute effectively to the maximisation of production and profit.
  • Promote Lean Management to staff members to enhance continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring effective customer satisfaction and liaison programmes result in contract development and renewal.

The successful Senior Operations Manager will have:

  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Lean Management, Six Sigma and Kaizen experience.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience of delivering change in an automotive logistics culture.
  • Proven experience of managing and working within an automotive or fast paced environment.
  • Computer Literate.
  • Previous exposure to Union negotiations.

The hours of work are 45 per week and the hours will fall within the early / middle shift.
