Female Support Workers* - Bexley, Kent
A family are wishing to recruit an additional support worker to join their team of carers who assist their 16-year-old daughter to live life as fully as possible while still having the support of her family. Their daughter has mild learning disabilities, physical disabilities and communication difficulties.
Although this young lady has cerebral palsy and epilepsy, she loves shopping, meeting with friends, eating out, swimming and listening to music. She likes to have her support workers around to help her maintain her independence and support her in her family life.
This role will include carrying out all aspects of personal care, social activities within the family home and local community as well as supporting daily living routines in a busy family home. There will be a requirement to drive a mobility vehicle.
Currently the vacancy we have is 8 hours every other weekend with additional hours on offer regularly. The 8 hours will usually be from 1pm until 5pm on Saturday and Sunday.
The rates of pay: £12.00 per hour Monday to Friday and £14.00 per hour Saturday and Sunday.
A full clean driving license, 2 satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS child and adult work force disclosure are essential.
