Hours and Rate of Pay

3 hours per week with additional hours available on a week to week basis

£8.20 per hour £9.20 evening after 6pm and weekends.

Job purpose:

To assist with day to day activities enabling the employer to maintain an independent and fulfilling life that meets their chosen lifestyle. This role will suit flexible candidate as hours can vary dependent on need and disability.

Work Duties will include:

Helping with

• Food preparation
• Daily activities in the home
• On occasion, hair washing
• Choosing and selecting appropriate clothing

Supporting with

• Accessing the local area/community
• With mobility
• Correspondence and enquiries
• With accessing social activities

Undertaking activities for employer

• Shopping for food and other required items
• Preparing and cooking food
• Cleaning and laundry
• Ensuring the home is hygienic and safe

Other requirements

• Working in a safe way and highlighting health and safety concerns
• Assisting with management of health risks
• Establish and maintain effective communication
• Maintaining confidentiality

Location and additional information

• Within the home in Coalpit Heath and the local area
• 5.6 weeks annual leave 

Requirements for applicant

• Good sense of humour
• Patience
• Ability to understand and deliver the client’s needs
• Experience of providing personal care
• Ability to undertake domestic activities
• Flexible, reliable and honest
• Good general fitness
• Driver with access to motor vehicle (Mileage paid)
• Female

• An enhanced DBS check may be required
