We have been established for over 80 years specialising in the design, manufacture and supply of Workshop and In-Vehicle Equipment, with production facilities here in the U.K, Germany and Hungary, and partner companies throughout the world. Following our enviable growth, we are looking to recruit a based at Purchasing Administrator our site in Ashby De La Zouch, in Leicestershire.
The Purchasing Administrator will be responsible for supporting the Procurement department by obtaining goods, products and services at the best possible quality, price and delivery dates, in order to accurately meet the Company’s production and operating schedules.
The Purchasing Administrator/Expeditor’s main responsibilities are as follows:
To process requisitions and orders raised and then send them to the selected supplier.
Resolve any queries invoice queries as quickly and accurately with the supplier and/or interval staff. Liaise with the correct internal personnel to gain the required authorisation before processing.
Keeping a log of all returns and ensuring that credits are processed and matched to invoices.
Providing support when necessary with ordering off the specification.
To liaise with suppliers to ensure that they meet in full delivery deadlines for goods or services, which meet the exacting quality, fit for purpose, and price requirements (costs downs and vender rating) demanded by the company.
To bring forthwith to the attention of the Operations Manager when there are potential delays in the delivery of goods or services which will have an adverse effect on meeting customers’ requirements.
To attend internal meetings as required and to present information on matters directly associated with the Procurement Department.
General administration including document scanning and filing paperwork on a daily basis.
The essential qualities of the Purchasing Administrator/Expeditor include:
Strong administration experience within a procurement department.
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
Good IT skills are essential including Microsoft Excel, Word and Email, and ideally have knowledge of using SAP.
Strong communication skills as you will be liaising with suppliers and internal staff at all levels.
Confident, resilient and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Full UK driving license as they may be required to attend off site supplier meetings.
The hours of work are 09:00 – 17:00 Mon – Thurs, 09:00 – 16:30 Fri – (salaried 37 hrs per week)
