Job Title: Personal Assistant /Home Carer (evenings)
Hours: 15 – 21 hours per week during evening hours.
Rates of Pay: £10.75 per hour at all times.
Work Area / Location : Bridgnorth, WV15.
Responsible to: Directly to the employer.
Closing date: 25th February 2020
About the Job:
The purpose of the role is to provide care, support and companionship to a lady in her own home and within the local community. The service user suffers from frontal lobe dementia and needs assistance at all times. The role will involve caring for the service user in their own home and ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times. Previous experience of dementia care would be advantageous in this role.
Providing support and care within the home – this will include personal care, transfers, some light domestic duties, cooking and companionship.
Providing support to access the community – providing 2:1 support to enable the employer to access the community (when needed)
Some driving may be required – a full, clean driving licence will be required (when needed)
Ensuring the employers safety and wellbeing at all times, be this at home or within the community.
Undertaking any training relevant to the role.
Any other reasonable tasks deemed relevant to the role by the employer.

Establish a professional standard of care, which should be maintained at all times.
Be prepared to undertake any training that may be required to meet the needs of the role.
Ensure that due consideration is given to health and safety at all times.

Respect privacy and uphold confidentiality at all times.
A background in or experience of dementia care would be advantageous.
A Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) and two satisfactory references are conditional for the post. This is a free and confidential process.
