Senior Full Stack Developer

£40,000 - £45,000 depending on experience

Bott Ltd has been established for over 80 years specialising in the design, manufacture and supply of workshop and in-vehicle equipment, with production facilities in the UK, Germany and Hungary and partner companies throughout the world. We're looking to recruit a Senior Full Stack Developer (Angular/ASP.NET [Core]/C#) to join our growing Digital Team. Responsible for developing and operating our online Sales, Marketing & Service platforms, this team has a key role in ensuring that we make the most of digital technology opportunities in our growing business.

To succeed in the role, you'll need a passion for developing web apps, online tools & websites and an enthusiasm to learn and develop. You will be well supported by our Digital Development team and will have the opportunity to grow & develop your skills within a successful global business.

 Core Tasks

  • Maintaining our existing web apps, APIs & websites using Microsoft and open source technologies
  • Contributing to the analysis, design and development of new web apps, APIs & websites
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of existing digital systems and processes
  • Liaising with markets and internal customers to achieve the above
  • Mentoring junior developers

 Key Technical Skills

Required Skills:

  • Extensive commercial experience using:
    • ASP.NET, C# and related technologies
    • Entity Framework
    • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Angular 2+
  • Software design patterns and best practices
  • Automated testing
  • Refactoring
  • Understanding of devops principals
  • Experience with CI/CD
  • Ability to write clean, readable & maintainable code

Non-Essential Skills:

  • Knowledge of CLIs and build tools
  • Cloud experience (Azure)

  • Occasional travel to other business sites for meetings, workshops, or research activities will be required in this role therefore a UK driving licence would be essential.

Hours of work

  • This position is offered on a permanent basis, you will be working 37 hours per week.
