07/2007 –14/03/08 Change Configuration Analyst @ Siemens IT Solutions & Services (BBC Contract)

Ensure all changes are planned and controlled to reduce the impact to the business, as well as being a central point of contact between the operational business communities and the various IT departments.

  • Assess and progress internal and external changes at the BBC
  • Attend weekly CAB meetings and assist areas in analysing the impact of raised RFC’s
  • Inform all relevant parties that are affected by a change, as well as making sure they understand the full impact to them prior to the change and post change taking place.
  • Control via the change management process, the movement of all assets through their lifecycle from purchase, maintenance, development and disposal.
  • Involvement in the transition to a new service management system (OSD Remedy)
  • Confirm asset details are recorded and maintained regularly as well as monitoring and initiating audits for any omitted details and inconsistencies.

A position that involves a interaction with a range of departments across the BBC, strong communication skills and lateral thinking were key skills in this position.
