Line manager:             Internal Sales Team Leader

           

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Increasing the sales revenue of existing customers whilst searching for and engaging in new relationships with architects, main and sub-contractors and distributors
  • The role will entail the individual to work closely with members from the External Sales team and Technical team
  • The individual will need to create a proactive and strong communication link with the customer
  • Specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) will be set with the individual to monitor the progress of their sales approach
  • Direct telesales calls following up on marketing mail shots to new / existing customers
  • Lead generation for External Sales team (Area Business Managers)
  • Booking appointments / visits for BDMs
  • Managing dormant / old customer accounts by developing and restarting relationships through direct telesales calls
  • Developing and maintaining the CRM database
  • Ad-hoc administration duties
  • Responding to customer requirements for literature, price lists, order forms etc.
  • Report daily weekly activity through agreed information templates

 

Skills, abilities and characteristics

  • Proven track record of success in an Internal Sales or Sales representative role
  • Excellent Communication skills - both verbal and written
  • IT skills - ability to operate a variety of systems and databases
  • Have a proven track record of success within a 'Business to Business' sales environment
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work without close supervision
  • Ability to be flexible, adaptable and receptive to new ideas and to embrace change
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing or construction related environment

 

The hours of work are Monday to Thursday 08.45 to 17.00 and Friday 08.45 to 15.45 with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break.
