European Transport Operator

Due to our continued growth and success we have a vacancy for a European Transport Operator to work in our European Transport Department. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and hands on individual who is able to work on their own initiative alongside being part of a bigger team.

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday 09:00 – 18.00, one in every four Saturday AM 

The main responsibilities of the European Transport Operator include:

  • Planning and managing our European export cargo.
  • Working with our European delivery partners ensuring a first class service is delivered at all times.
  • Liaison with internal and external transport departments.
  • Creating and updating load Manifests.
  • Entering/Updating jobs onto the transport management system.
  • Resolution of any delivery issues.
  • Preparation of any transport jobs and paperwork as and when required.
  • Adherence to all agreed daily deadlines.

 The essential qualities of the European Transport Operator include:

  • French speaking essential, other European languages desirable.
  • Self-motivated, ambitious and enthusiastic.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Accurate, flexible and committed to finishing any assigned task.
  • Must have effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Good geographical knowledge of the UK and Europe.
