An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Communications Officer to join a multi service charity based in Coventry to cover maternity for up to 52 weeks.  In return, we offer a competitive salary of £18,206 p.a. (pro-rata £9,103 p.a.) and a contributory pension scheme.

The charity has a fully trained staff team providing Supported Accommodation and Floating Support to young parents and victims of domestic abuse.  There is also a Children's Nursery that provides full day care for pre-school children, together with a Youth Service and a Community Wellbeing Service.

The Communications Officer will work as part of the resources team leading on raising the profile of Valley House, utilising social media and the Valley House website.  The post holder will also ensure cross organisational compliance with the Valley House brand in all communications and literature.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience of using Microsoft Office, Adobe and web based software.
  • Experience of using a range of social media to promote organisations activities and engage with the local community.
  • An excellent working knowledge of how best to use social media to reach a target audience.
  • Excellent administrative and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

This post requires a satisfactory DBS check.

The hours of work are 20 per week.
