Team Leader, Internal Sales

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team of internal sales executives focused on selling metal interior and exterior building products
  • Manage the daily activities and performance of the team ensuring focus on achieving set targets and objectives
  • Ensuring a strong relationship is built between the External Sales team as well as Technical and Operational teams
  • Providing strong direction on sales activities and performance to the team – leading from the front
  • Focus on increasing the sales revenue of existing customers whilst searching for and engaging in new relationships with architects, main and sub-contractors and distributors
  • Completing own schedule of sales calls and managing specific set of customer accounts
  • Providing reports to the Business Director on team activities and KPI achievements
  • Managing the administration of the CRM database and ensuring compliance by users
  • Working closely with the Business Director on organising marketing activities and customer interaction opportunities
  • Ad-hoc administration duties for Business Director and involvement in projects
  • Controlling the requests and stock from customers for literature, price lists, brochures etc


Skills, abilities and characteristics

  • Proven track record of success of leading an Internal Sales team and own personal sales achievements
  • Excellent Communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Have a proven track record of success within a 'Business to Business' sales environment
  • Strong organisational and team management skills
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing or construction related environment
  • Ambitious and driven with the ability to take control of projects, prioritise and manage own time
  • Highly focused on delivery of outputs to achieve targets
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise effectively and drive results
  • Driven, passionate and committed to ensuring personal and company success
  • Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial approach to business
