Elmleigh Electro Mechanical Solutions are recruiting for a Technical Engineer to join their team based in Barwell. Elmleigh have been providing electrical and mechanical automation systems since 1984. Starting out as a system automation specialist, we provided a complete solution to designing and integrating electrical systems within the manufacturing industry. As business grew, we have maintained approved contractor status at many blue chip organisation sites around the UK and have become number one electrical contractor at many of the sites we visit.

The Technical Engineer role will involve:

  • Assisting the Technical Manager in development and delivery of various internal projects and to look after Key Accounts
  • Working closely with the project managers, design teams, site installation teams and Technical Manager to put together full packages of information for projects
  • Collating and reporting any system test data along with presenting any project specification variations to the Project Manager
  • Investigating, analysing, diagnosing and resolving any issues of assigned project activities
  • Undertaking specialist training as required
  • Attending site surveys and meetings to determine / sign off design specification
  • Opportunity to learn PLC and HMI Software

The successful Technical Engineer will have the following skills:

  • AutoCAD Electrical
  • Experience in designing, building or installing various control panels or systems
  • Strong IT Skills
  • ePlan (Desirable)
  • Experience in Machinery Safety design and commissioning (Desirable)
  • Experience with the Amtech Suite of Design Products (Desirable)
  • Atex Design / Installation knowledge and experience (Desirable)

The Technical Engineer role would suit someone with experience working as an electrician. If you have the above skills and have experience in panel wiring, electrical control and process control, we would like to hear from you.

The salary for this role is between £25,000 – £35,000 depending on experience.

The hours of work 40 per week.
