An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Customer Support Technician to join EQ Software based in Ashby de la Zouch. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £18K per annum plus 28 days holiday rising to 33 days after five years service, onsite parking, monthly and annual attendance bonus (+4% salary possible), fully AC offices, excellent break out facilities, Herman Miller desking and seating throughout.

EQ Software is the market leading business management software solution for the Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathroom Industry in the UK. We are part of the Compusoft Group which is one of Europe’s leading providers of design and management software for this sector.

The Customer Support Technician will work within the catalogue department, supporting customers in the use of software-based catalogues by telephone and email whilst providing excellent customer service, troubleshooting and various office administration duties.

Duties will include:

  • Answering customer phone call and email enquiries
  • Following up with third parties for additional information
  • Checking / verification of departmental output
  • Various administrative duties using a PC
  • Utilising MS Excel to manipulate data
  • Use of in house bespoke software (full training given)

The successful Customer Support Technician will have:

  • GCSE English, Maths, ICT or similar qualification
  • Experience in business to business customer service via telephone
  • Ability to describe technical details in a none technical way
  • Ability to write professional business emails
  • Must be literate and numerate
  • Must be comfortable and able to work at a PC / VDU for most of the working day
  • Good time management skills
  • Previous practical experience of working with Excel particularly using formulae would be advantageous
  • A general willingness to learn new skills

The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.
