Hours:

08:00 – 16:00, 30 minute break, 37.5 hours / week. Flexibility required.

Happy to discuss 1-2 days a week working from home once fully settled into the role.

Purpose of role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Administrator to join our Technical Team.

This role provides structured administrative and compliance support to the Technical and Quality team, ensuring that all quality documentation, traceability records, compliance systems, reporting activities, export and customer complaint processes are completed accurately and efficiently.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop within a Technical team, with training and progression opportunities available. It is also well-suited to individuals with a Technical/QA background who are seeking a more administration-focused role while remaining in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Export Certification

  • Prepare and submit Export Health Certificate (EHC) applications
  • Ensure all export documentation is accurate, compliant, and completed on time
  • Maintain full traceability of all export products
  • Accommodate vets visits to site

Traceability, System & Documentation

  • Maintain organised electronic and paper-based filing systems
  • Assist team with traceability exercises and mock recalls
  • Ensure the QMS system and document control log are always up to date
  • Support NPD with Quality Attribute Sheet creation and maintenance
  • Create labels and barcodes
  • Maintain QC reporting systems and technical databases

Non-Conformance & Complaints

  • Monitor trends and escalate issues where required
  • Log customer complaints and coordinate investigations
  • Respond to customers with investigation findings
  • Review internal non-conformances (NCs), ensuring actions are assigned and closed out

KPI & Reporting

  • Prepare KPI, compliance, and quality reports

Sample Management

  • Log, pack, and dispatch samples to customers and potential new business contacts


External Analysis Support

  • Support microbiological and environmental monitoring administration
  • Assist with shelf-life and nutritional testing schedules

Development Opportunities

  • Training within Technical and Quality functions
  • Exposure to audits, compliance systems, and customer requirements
  • Clear pathway for progression within the Technical team

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Good administrative and data management abilities
  • Understanding of food manufacturing, Technical, or QA environments (preferred)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
