Personal Care Assistant

Personal Assistant in care Job Description:

• A Personal Assistant is required to assist and support an 8 year old autistic boy with various out of home activities, enabling him to maintain an active lifestyle whilst ensuring his safety.

Job Purpose & work Duties:

• Outdoor walking/exercise
• Play sessions
• Assisting with leisure activities

Supporting with:
● Mobility, ensuring the employers safety
● Personal care when required
● Travel to and from leisure venues

Other requirements
● Working in a safe way and highlighting health and safety concerns
● Assisting with management of employer’s health risks
● Establish and maintain effective communication
● Maintaining confidentiality

Location

● Within the employer’s home and the local community of Dudley, Halesowen and the surrounding area
● To provide variable cover during periods of holiday and sickness
● Rate of Pay (£12.71 per hour)
● 5 Hours per week

Requirements
● Experience of providing Care is essential
● Level 2 in Health and Social Care is preferred
● Locally based
● Available to help at short notice is essential
● Consistent
● Motivated
● Organised
● Driver is essential
● Good sense of humour
● Patient and empathetic
● Ability to understand and deliver the requirements of the employer
● Ability to undertake domestic and out of home activities
● Flexible, reliable, and honest
● Good general fitness
● An enhanced DBS check will be required
