Location: Ophthalmic HCA (Shepton Mallet)

We are in need at Shepton Mallet of an ophthalmic HCA for next week, Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Interaction: Greeting patients, preparing them for exams, and assisting with basic eye assessments.
• Diagnostic Support: Performing vision acuity tests (Snellen charts), understanding refractive errors (myopia, hyperopia), and aiding in diagnostic procedures.
• Clinical Assistance: Working alongside surgeons in theatres, assisting with laser treatments, or helping with cataract/glaucoma care.
• Technical Roles: Can involve contact lens fitting, optical dispensing, or acting as a patient coordinator.

• Residential homes

• Hospitals
