Personal Care Assistant

Wanted: Personal Assistant / Community Support Worker
Job purpose:

To support an 8 year-old non-verbal Autistic child within the home and with accessing social opportunities within the community.

Work Duties will include:

Supporting young client with after-school home care, including simple food prep and personal care.
Driving client out into the community and supporting them to safely enjoy activities like soft play, playgrounds and eating out.
Supporting with language, communication and self-regulation needs


Other requirements

• Establishing and maintaining warm, effective communication with the child and their parents

Maintaining confidentiality.
Complete commitment to safeguarding and maintaining client’s personal dignity
Autistic and other neurodivergent applicants are especially welcome.


Requirements for applicant

DBS checked
Significant experience of working with SEN young people, particularly those with communication challenges.
Non-smoker
Positive attitude towards Autism.
It is essential you are a driver with your own vehicle (with ISOFIX fittings) and have car insurance that covers you for work use.
Flexible, reliable and honest
High levels of fitness, strength and energy — there will be lots of physical activity and we like to run!
Location – Ashford, Kent

Number of PA roles available - 1

£12.21 per hour

Term Time – 8 hours per week

Non-Term Time - 15 hours per week
