Personal Care Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

• PERSONAL CARE ASSISSTANT

• I am 69 -year-old lady with limited mobility. I use a walker and wheelchair for outings. I need support with cooking but most of all companionship and support with small tasks as they arise
• I live at home with my husband
• It is important for me to have continuity of regular and reliable personal assistant.

Hours and rate of Pay:

• 16 Hours per week 10am – 2pm
• Days – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday (no weekends)
• Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required.

What you would be doing:

• Establish a close working relationship on a one-to-one basis
• Support preparing lunch
• Support with social and recreational outings and accompany on appointments
• Some outings would be accompanied along with my husband
• Companionship in the home when not up to outdoor activities (Needs may vary daily)
• Undertake any duties which may be reasonably allocated.

The person I would like:

• I would like a female personal assistant who has the skills to promote my independence and needs on the day
• You should have a genuine interest in the provision of high-quality care be hardworking, reliable and committed
• You will be a good communicator with a cheerful disposition and possess the motivation to develop trust and understanding in our relationship
• Driving licence required and own car preferred
