Baker Recruitment Group, are excited to partner with a valued Client in Leeds, in search of an Assistant Commercial Manager to support their continued growth.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with sub-contract enquiries at tender stage, ensuring they have the required information to provide timely quotations.
- Agree scope of works & fees with sub-contractors for packages.
- Review quotes, complete comparisons & raise orders.
- Support the Commercial Manager, update weekly sign off sheets for the Board of Directors.
- Proactively work with the Construction Directors on site procurement & support allocated projects.
- Provide accurate monthly site forecast costs.
- Flexible to assist the Finance Management Team, with cost enquiries for site budgets.
- Provide cover, where required to the Commercial Manager.
- Attend pre-construction meetings, cost meetings & sub contractor meetings as and when required.
- Assist with accounts queries.
Knowledge and Experience Required:
- Proven experience within a subcontract buying role.
- Essential construction knowledge.
- Desire to understand & promote the company purpose, vision and values.
- Sage knowledge.
- Essential Microsoft Office Knowledge.
Qualification and Skills:
- Relevant business degree or equivalent experience.
- Self-starter with a can-do attitude with a desire to pick up new challenges, team player dedicated to achieve results.
- The ability to work to tight deadlines & manage own workload.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with great attention to detail.
