Baker Recruitment Group, are excited to partner with a valued Client in Leeds, in search of an Assistant Commercial Manager to support their continued growth.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist with sub-contract enquiries at tender stage, ensuring they have the required information to provide timely quotations.
  • Agree scope of works & fees with sub-contractors for packages.
  • Review quotes, complete comparisons & raise orders.
  • Support the Commercial Manager, update weekly sign off sheets for the Board of Directors.
  • Proactively work with the Construction Directors on site procurement & support allocated projects.
  • Provide accurate monthly site forecast costs.
  • Flexible to assist the Finance Management Team, with cost enquiries for site budgets.
  • Provide cover, where required to the Commercial Manager.
  • Attend pre-construction meetings, cost meetings & sub contractor meetings as and when required.
  • Assist with accounts queries.

Knowledge and Experience Required:

  • Proven experience within a subcontract buying role.
  • Essential construction knowledge.
  • Desire to understand & promote the company purpose, vision and values.
  • Sage knowledge. 
  • Essential Microsoft Office Knowledge.

Qualification and Skills:

  • Relevant business degree or equivalent experience.
  • Self-starter with a can-do attitude with a desire to pick up new challenges, team player dedicated to achieve results.
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines & manage own workload.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with great attention to detail.
