Personal Care Assistant

Hours: 12 hours per week

3 hour shifts over 4 days on Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9-1PM, 10-2PM, 11-3PM WITHIN SCHOOL HOURS.

Rate of Pay: £11.44 hour

Job purpose:

To assist with living independently.

I LIVE AT HOME WITH MY 2 CHIDREN ONE WHO IS 10 YEARS OLD AND A 14MONTH YEAR OLD BABY.

Work Duties will include

• Personal care to ensure I am safe whilst showering, due to risk of seizures
• Food preparation and cooking
• Support to access the local area
• Support with mobility
• Shopping for food and other required items
• Cleaning and laundry
• Ensuring the home is hygienic and safe

Other requirements

• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to establish and maintain effective communication

Location and additional information

• Within the home in Southmead and the local area.
• 6 weeks annual leave pro-rata

Requirements for applicant

• Good sense of humour
• Patience
• Someone who is understanding
• Experience preferable but not required
• Ability to undertake domestic activities
• Flexible, reliable and honest
• Good general fitness
• Driver ESSENTIAL CAN USE SERVICE USERS CAR.
• An enhanced DBS check will be required
• Female
