Purpose of the job

The Client is an 87 year old woman who needs support with day to day care, this can range from washing and cleaning to helping eat her meals on a daily basis.

Hours and rate of Pay

£16.20 per hour for 19.5 hours of care per week, Schedule for working is below

Main Duties

· To support washing and dressing.,

· To support with personnel care,

· Changing pad and make empty commode

· if necessary

· To prepare breakfast/drink.

· To prompt meds if necessary

· Tidying used environment

· Put laundry in the washing machine

· Allow client to be as independent as possible.

· Assist with any personal care tasks e.g.

· changing pad.

· Heat up meal and place in front of the client

· Administer any medication.

· Wash up and tidy up.

· Remove any laundry from washing

· machine and hang up to dry.

· To support and encourage to eat and

· drink.

· Check and prompt evening medications.

· Support any personal care - pad change

· etc.

· Prepare for bed.

· To include vacuuming, tidying up and ensuring there are no trip hazards on the floor, clean and mop the kitchen and bathroom

You must be able to work well independently.
My personal assistant is accountable to me in all aspects of their work. They should always ask what my needs are and listen to my directions and requests.
