Support worker / Personal Assistant

I am a 19 year old male with a learning disability called Angelman Syndrome.

I have a very happy personality.  I love music, art and crafts, jigsaw puzzles, my Ipad and You Tube on the TV. 

I have a complex communication needs, I use some words and Makaton, pointing and gestures.

I’m not a big fan of sports or walking distances, but I like swimming. 

I use a wheelchair for distances. 

I need support with dressing and toileting, preparing and cooking food and roads and transport.

Driver essential.

Hours are:

8 hours term time, flexible after 3.30pm. 

16 hours during school holidays.

Training and learning opportunities available

5.6 weeks rota of AL per year

Good Hourly Rate - £13.00 per hour 

Flexible shifts

Please note that you will be working directly for the Employer or the Employer who is supporting the Citizen to manage the Direct Payment. An Enhanced DBS check will be required for this role, if you have a transferable DBS check please make this known on your application form.

Training will be tailored to the citizen’s needs. Please note the Employer will arrange this for you if the job is offered and accepted.
