Personal Assistant / Carer
Purpose of the job:
- I am an 83-year-old woman requiring a personal assistant/carer.
- I live in the NW8 area of London.
- I have ailments consistent with my age centered around restricted mobility (but mobile), some limited arthritis in my hands, diabetes (insulin dependent) though I am on a program to reduce my dependency and blood pressure.
Hours and rate of Pay:
- 16 hours per week, Monday to Thursday (Hours to be confirmed)
- Hourly rate £14.25
Supervision:
- My personal assistant is accountable to the employer in all aspects of their work. They should always ask what my needs are and listen to my directions and requests.
Main Duties:
- The main duties identified in the job description are examples of the expectations required; there may be occasions where you are reasonably requested to provide additional activities to be undertaken inside or outside of the home.
1. Support with Domestic chores-cleaning/ hoovering my home and support with Laundry if necessary.
2. Support with food shopping (Afro/Caribbean food)
3. I would like medication from Supermarket if required.
4. I would want to resume attending the Coffee Morning sessions which is close to my home address (200-400 meters)
5. I would like to have support with the electro therapy machine for my legs.
6. Maintain a healthy nutrition.
7. Maintain personal hygiene.
8. Assist with Sainsbury’s online shopping for delivery submission
9. Change bedding
10. Ironing
Personal Assistant Specification:
- My assistant must be honest, trustworthy, and reliable.
- My assistant must respect my privacy and always maintain my dignity.
- My assistant must be enthusiastic and flexible with a caring disposition.
- You must be able to work well independently.
- The post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure which will be funded through your employer.
