Are you an experienced Maths and Science Teacher looking for a new challenge?
U-Educate are currently recruiting for Maths and Science Teachers to work in SEMH secondary school based in Basingstoke, RG22. This role has an immediate start and we are looking for either QTS qualified or Unqualified experienced Teachers, with knowledge in both of these subjects.
Job Description
- Planning, marking and assessing lessons
- Prepare and develop lesson plans and curriculums and teaching materials
- Engage, motivate and encourage students
- Deliver helpful feedback to students about progress
- Manage classroom behaviour
- Being able to adapt your instructional materials and teaching methods to meet the classes varying learning abilities.
- Supporting SEN and SEMH Needs
- Engage, motivate and encourage students to complete work set
- Putting into practise individual Educational, Social, Behavioural and Personal Care Plans
- Attending to student’s social, mental and emotional needs
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Degree in either subject.
- Previous experience within an educational setting supporting students with SEMH
- Up to date knowledge of Maths and Science curriculum
- Ability to pass an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to work with children
- Relevant teaching experience across Key stage 3, 4 and 5
- Up to date Safeguarding Training (You can undertake a free course with U-educate if you have not got a a safeguarding certificate dated within the last 12 months)
