Complex Healthcare Worker - Supported Living
Car driver with own vehicle essential for this role!

Salary: £13.50 per hour
We are currently looking to recruit someone who would be able to support a gentleman in his early 40’s, both with his care at home and to be able to go out and access various places of interest.
As part of this role, there will be a requirement of supporting with personal care, manual handling and with administering medication – including insulin and setting up of nutritional feeds through PEG. As such we are looking for someone with a background in care and support.

This would include looking for new groups and opportunities for him to be involved in as he loves to get out and about meeting friends new and old and is always open to trying new things.
Full driving license and car required for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalised care and support to an adult male with complex medical conditions, including limited mobility, diabetes type 1, epilepsy, and challenging behaviour.
- Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, managing medical needs such as diabetes monitoring and epilepsy episodes, assisting with mobility, administering nutrition through PEG feeding, and providing emotional support.
- Work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for the individual's complex needs.
- Experience in healthcare, understanding of learning disabilities, epilepsy, and challenging behaviours, as well as a compassionate approach to care are all desired.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in a similar role or relevant healthcare setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of and experience with the mentioned medical conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies.
- Compassionate and patient-centred approach to care.
Working Hours: The position may require flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to ensure comprehensive care coverage.
