Teaching Assistants play a crucial role in the classroom. U-Educate is seeking an individual who can support our teachers and motivate and encourage our pupils.
The Role:
As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers, support staff, and the SEN team to assist students who exhibit behavioural challenges. Your role will involve providing 1:1 support or working with small groups, using behaviour management techniques to promote positive behaviour, emotional well-being, and engagement in learning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the development and implementation of personalised behaviour management plans.
• Assist students in managing their behaviour through positive reinforcement and clear boundaries.
• Build trusting relationships with students to help them feel supported and understood.
• Provide 1:1 support or small group interventions for students with behavioural challenges.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Encourage social interaction and help students develop their social and emotional skills.
• Monitor and report on student progress, maintaining accurate records.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
• Preferably have experience working with children or young people, either in a school or similar setting.
• Be patient, empathetic, and resilient with a passion for supporting vulnerable students.
• Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
• Work effectively as part of a team but also independently when needed.
• Be able to make a positive contribution to the ethos of our school
Contract type: Full-time, term time only
Hours: 8.30 am – 3.00 pm Monday – Friday
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
