Care Team Leader
Team Leader required to lead and manage a well-established support team working with a 16 year old young man with Cerebral Palsy, profound learning disabilities, sight impairment, epilepsy, and complex medical needs. Our client attends school during term time; he enjoys sensory activity with plenty of stimulation and interaction both at home and during trips outside of the home.
Working primarily within the family home, you will be expected to support our client with outings and during hospital admissions.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right person, to further develop the team to ensure the most fulfilling life for our client.
Responsibilities:
We are looking for someone who can:
- Develop and lead the support team.
- Implement prescribed therapies and activities.
- Communicate with treating therapists, professionals, and the client’s school.
- Ensure smooth weekly transitions between parents’ homes.
- Attend termly MDT meetings (3 times per year).
- Ensure the smooth and necessary running of administrative tasks required in a busy team to include coordination and implementation of monthly rota, timesheets, training schedules.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
We want someone with:
- Proven communication and reliability.
- Management experience and some rota-writing experience.
- Problem-solving, decisiveness, delegation, organization, and flexibility.
- Special consideration for candidates with a nursing background.
Qualifications:
NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (desirable) or willingness to undertake the Care Certificate training.
Full driving license (essential).
Working Hours and Pay:
Hours: 10 hours management (generally from home) and 18 hours clinical per week (negotiable).
Pay: £22.00 per hour, £30.00 per hour on Bank Holidays.
Additional Information:
Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult and Child Workforce Barring required.
Full training provided.
Provided with a mobile phone, laptop, and expenses card.
