Are you an experienced Science Teacher looking for a new challenge?
U-Educate are currently recruiting for a Science Teacher for a secondary faith school in Erdington, B23. This is a full time, permanent role due to start as soon as possible. For this role you must have experience working with KS3 and KS4 as well as have qualified teacher status.
Job Description
- Planning, marking and assessing lessons
- Prepare and develop lesson plans and curriculums and teaching materials
- Engage, motivate and encourage students
- Deliver helpful feedback to students about progress
- Manage classroom behaviour
- Consistently meet all of the DfE Teacher standards and role model highly effective teaching and learning
- Be accountable for the performance of pupils within allocated classes
- Follow all school policies around teaching and learning and adhere to the school code of conduct
- Uphold the Catholic ethos of the school.
- Support the school’s vision, create a positive culture in which pupils feel valued and developed and strive to be successful within the Catholic ethos of the school
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Up to date knowledge of Science curriculum
- Ability to pass an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to work with children
- Relevant teaching experience across Key stage 3, 4 and 5
- Up to date Safeguarding Training (You can undertake a free course with U-educate if you have not got a a safeguarding certificate dated within the last 12 months)
