Fantastic opportunity for a qualified English Teacher in Castle Bromwich.
U-Educate are currently seeking an English teacher for Secondary School based in Castle Bromwich, B36. This is a full time, permanent role due to start in January 2025. All applicants must have qualified teacher status and experience work with KS3 and KS4 students. .
Daily responsibilities include:
- Setting, planning, and marking work for students.
- Delivering lessons to students.
- Managing the behaviour of pupils while they are undertaking this work to ensure a constructive environment.
- Responding to any questions from pupils about process and procedures
- Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the school’s policies and procedures.
- Reporting back as appropriate using the school’s agreed referral procedures on the Behaviour of pupils during the class, and any issues arising.
- To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate.
- To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher/Form Tutor.
- To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
- To contribute to raising standards of student attainment
Essential:
- An undergraduate degree or equivalent in English language or Literature (2:2 or higher)
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or (QTLS)
- Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 GCSE Curriculum and Functional Skills
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain a new one.
- Minimum of 2 references, including your most recent employment reference.
- 2 Years confirmed reference
- Legal right to work in the UK.
