Hours:                           20 Hours per week

Work Pattern:               2 Nights per week

                                      Days to be discussed at interview stage

Hourly Rate of Pay:      £12.00 Per Hour

Based at:                       Near the Nottingham Ikea (NG16)

Job Purpose:

I am looking for a waking night personal care assistant, you will be working within a family home supporting adults with autism.

Main duties

This is a waking night role for 2 nights per week, the young adults may wake occasionally.

Personal care: There may be aspects of personal care involved in this role if the adults wake up, all training will be provided.

You will be expected to carry out any other duties or activities connected with the role which the representative may reasonably request.

Personal Specification

An ability to adapt to different situations

You must be a team player, with excellent communication skills and a keen sense of personal responsibility

You will need to have a working knowledge of autism

You will need to be calm in a crisis and be able to motivate young adults

A good sense of fun and humour

A willingness to undergo any training offered

The post carries a 6 month probationary period.

A Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) and two satisfactory references are conditional for the post. This is a free and confidential process.
