Support Worker

An opportunity has arisen for a bright, energetic and motivated person with a robust personality required to work with our client in a rehabilitation and support role, on a part-time basis.

You should be quick and free thinking, enabling him to lead a life that is fulfilling and meaningful. Maximising his physical and psychological well-being and promoting his safety at all times is vital to the role.

The role will involve providing help and assistance with all activities of daily living, building, developing and nurturing a therapeutic relationship with our client to support him in all areas of independent living.

You will work closely with the relevant professionals implementing the client’s rehabilitative therapy programme and facilitating social activities. You should have good communication skills be competent at recording and reporting.

You will have the opportunity to make a real difference to the client’s life and to join a small team. Full training and ongoing support provided with the opportunities to progress with professional development.

Working hours: 20 hours per week.  

Our client seeks someone who is well organised and flexible.

Rates of pay: £13.10 per hour Monday to Friday, £15.29 per hour Saturday and Sunday.

An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise, the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.

All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult and Child Workforce Barring.  Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential.
