About the Role: As a CNC Programmer / Section Leader at this company, you'll play a critical role in their manufacturing process, programming CNC machines to create precise patterns from which they manufacture carbon fibre components. This position involves leading a small team, ensuring the smooth operation of our CNC machinery, and maintaining the high standards their clients expect whilst also exhibiting a desire for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programme and operate 3 and 5-axis CNC machines.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to refine and improve programming processes.
- Lead and mentor a team of CNC operators and programmers.
- Perform autonomous maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machinery.
- Ensure high-quality output and adherence to safety standards.

Working Hours: Core hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (with potential for overtime). Standard 40-hour workweek with a 15-minute morning break and a 30-minute lunch break.
Location: Ilkeston, Derbyshire, easily accessible by major transport routes and close to M1 JCT 25.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC programming and operation.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a small team.
- Hands-on experience with CNC machines and 5-axis machining.
- Familiarity with ALPHA CAM is beneficial but not essential; training will be provided.
