Job Title: Grounds Worker

Contract Type: Temporary

Salary: £12.18

Expected hours: 37.00 per week

About the Role:

This post is part of Grounds Maintenance and Landscape Services. The role’s priorities are in assisting the Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to deliver an agreed programme of works whilst providing a cost-effective, high-quality, and customer-focused service.

Day-to-Day Duties:

• Strimming/mowing.
• Use of ride-on mower.
• Weed killing.
• Hedge/shrub pruning.
• Leaf clearance.
• Use of equipment in relation to all aspects of ground maintenance.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Qualifications/Training/Registrations: Formal qualification in Amenity
• Horticulture (NVQ level 1 or equivalent) or equivalent relevant experience. PA1/PA6 qualification.
• Experience in the relevant field, handling significant contracts and projects, processing information requests, providing professional and technical advice, and assessing and minimizing risk.
• Professional knowledge of relevant laws and policies, good practice in leading and managing people and projects, Health and Safety awareness, experience with commercial grounds maintenance machinery (e.g., ride-on mowers, hedge cutters, chainsaws, brush cutters), good communication and motivation skills.
