About Myself

I am looking for a 2 Personal Assistants 2:1 to take me out socialising near where I live, in the local Merthyr area.

I am a 15-year-old teenager I have been diagnosed with Global Development Delay and have a rare heart condition called Wolff Parkinson-White Syndrome (my mother will explain more about this).  I struggle with my anxiety and repetitiveness.

I spend most of my time at home with my mother and would like a Personal Assistant to take me out for my Mam to have a break and for me to gain confidence in social settings. I like most activities but have to be careful with my heart condition, so its important that anyone who works with me is CPR trained.

  • And also likes dancing and playing musical instruments
  • I like to going out for food.
  • I am chatty and like lots of conversation.

Working Hours/Pay of Rate


6 hours per week term time (39 weeks) - £13.00 per hour

8 hours a week school holidays (13 weeks) - £13.00 per hour  

Hours need to be flexible to my needs and will be discussed in the interview


Tasks and Duties 

  • I require my personal assistant to take me out of my home environment and get involved with my activities and interests.
  • Supporting me on a 2:1 basis
  • Support and encourage my independence where possible, and preserve my personal sense of well-being
  • Support and encourage me out within my local community
  • Any other reasonable tasks required

 Training is accessible – CPR Compulsory


Additional Information

 Successful applicants will be subject to a three-month trial period.

 A DBS check will be required, this will be at no cost to yourself.
