You will work in a busy preparation centre working with and alongside a variety of specialist teams. Our Prep Centre processes over a 1600 vehicle’s a month and services 8 Stores around the UK. 

Vehicle Diagnostic Technician – The Person:

  • Full UK driving license.
  • A keen eye for detail and recognising the importance of giving every car in our workshop the highest standard of care.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to collaborate with team members to overcome challenges and solve problems quickly.
  • A huge passion for learning and keeping up with industry innovations to help you perform at your best.
  • Communication with Worksop Controller/Manager to ensure that quality repairs are carried out on all vehicles.
  • Strong technical background with experience of working as motor vehicle mechanic in similar role.
  • All vehicle brand diagnostic experience essential – proven track record diagnosing faults on multiple vehicle brands and models.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to carry out repairs efficiently and to a high level of quality.
  • A minimum of NVQ L3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
  • A qualified diagnostic technician, preferably multi-brand.
  • Must be fully trained and be able to demonstrate both speed & quality of work.

Vehicle Diagnostic Technician - The Duties:

  • Diagnose complex symptoms across the whole range of vehicle systems, as well as routine service & repairs (as per given guidelines).
  • Responsible for testing vehicles to evaluate and diagnose repairs that need to be carried out.
  • Provide regular work status updates.
  • Ensure all work is carried out observing safe working practices of self and others.
  • Check level and quality of work through use of diagnostic equipment and road-testing vehicles after work has been carried out.
  • Complete relevant documentation in line with HSO, warranty and V12 requirements.
  • Using diagnostic equipment identify fault and advise the necessary repairs.

Salary: £44,460

  • 47.5 hours a week – 2/4 Saturdays as overtime
  • 7am – 5pm (weekdays)
  • 7am – 12pm (Saturdays)
