English Teacher- Portsmouth

Are you an experienced English Teacher looking for a new challenge?

I am currently recruiting for English Teachers in Portsmouth.  The role a is full time long term position. They are seeking people that are QTS graduates and have experience of working in secondary schools.

For this English teacher role you will require to have:

  • up-to-date knowledge of the UK English KS3 and KS4 curriculum
  • knowledge of English examination processes and requirements for GCSE and A-level
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Ability to pass an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to work with children and Relevant teaching experience across Key Stage Three and Key stage Four (A-Level is beneficial).

The role will involve:

  • preparation of lessons and teaching materials
  • management of class behaviour, motivate, and encourage all pupils to take part,
  • working with learning support assistants to help pupils with special educational needs and disabilities
  • to facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.

The successful candidate will bring at least 1 years of experience to the role. You will be empathetic and determined to make a difference. I am very keen to speak with specialist English Teachers with QTS with behaviour experience who are perfect for this position.
