Key Responsibilities

  • Person-Centered Support: Provide empathetic and person-centered support tailored to meet the unique needs of individuals in the service.
  • Challenging Behavior Management: Effectively manage and de-escalate challenging behaviors in a calm and professional manner, promoting a safe and supportive environment.
  • Mental Health Support: Work closely with individuals facing mental health challenges, offering emotional support, and assisting in accessing appropriate mental health services.
  • Learning Difficulties Support: Provide assistance to individuals with learning difficulties in daily activities, fostering independence and promoting skill development.
  • Collaborative Approach: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, families, and external agencies, to ensure a holistic and integrated support plan.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of support provided, incidents, and individual progress. Generate reports as required.
  • Promoting Independence: Encourage and enable individuals to develop and maintain their independence, making choices about their lives and participating in community activities.
  • A full UK driving license and access to a car is essential for the role.

The refer a friend scheme is worth £200 in total. This is split £100 after the person has worked 100 hours and then another £100 when they have passed probation (6 months usually).
