Work for an Outstanding CQC rated provider

We have a fantastic opportunity to work with an individual who lives within the community who requires support.

We are supporting a unique individual who requires support with the following tasks

  • Stress management and well-being
  • Activities of daily living
  • Developing greater independence
  • Navigating relationships and social needs

Experience of working with people who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum condition is crucial

  • A’s autism is the primary source of his strengths and support needs. Therefore, it is critical that people supporting A are autism-informed and adapted to his individual profile in a person-centred way.

  • It is important to note that A does not view his diagnosis positively nor seems to fully understand his individual support needs that are a result of his social, developmental, and sensory differences.

  • People supporting A must be aware of this ‘cognitive dissonance’ and remain consistent in providing autism-informed support whilst adapting session plans according to his presenting stress levels.

  • A can suffer from high stress levels and extremely high anxiety, and therefore requires consistent support that can engage with A and therefore finding an individual(s) who have experience of supporting people in similar circumstances is important.

  • Structure and predictability are essential to A’s well-being and ability to navigate a world that is likely confusing and chaotic for him. Having predictable daily routines can help him feel safe and in ‘control’.

  • A can tend to avoid activities such as showering and washing up, but he will engage in special interests for prolonged periods of time, these can include

  • Music
  • Horror Films
  • Formula One
  • Football
  • Playstation Games

A would like to expand his interests and be supported to engage in social events and activities of leisure associated with these interests and having similar interests would be very advantageous

A needs to be able to build up trust in the people who are providing his support and therefore we are looking for a reliable and consistent individual(s) who are committed and have an understanding of A and the support his needs.

  • Industry and bespoke training plan – tailored to meet the needs of the individuals you support

  • Flexible work patterns – no weekend working for this specific role
  • Rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to an individual’s life
  • Working for an outstanding CQC rated provider
